About
The LUCID Data Space is a federated platform connecting datasets held by the LUCID partners at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). It enables researchers and clinicians to discover and request access to datasets under well-defined governance and access conditions.
By applying the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles, the Data Space lets data stewards keep control of their data while making it discoverable and reusable for legitimate research.
The LUCID Data Space links data through FAIR Data Points (FDPs) that remain under the control of their respective organizations. This platform creates an overview of the datasets available across these FDPs and lets users request access or run queries — every request is routed to the data steward at the origin for approval.
